DUBAI, -- UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri today met with leaders from a number of countries participating in the 7th Annual Investment Meeting to discuss bilateral economic relations with a focus on areas of common interest for the UAE and the respective countries.
During his meeting with President Rustam Minnikhanov of Tatarstan, Al Mansouri underlined the UAE's keenness to foster economic and trade relations with different world countries. He highlighted the UAE government's strategy to build a knowledge-based and sustainable economy. The two parties also explored the best ways of developing bilateral economic relations and promote investments.
At another meeting, Al Mansouri, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Moldova, Octavian Calmic, explored the outcome of a visit by UAE officials to Moldova earlier this year where ways of strengthening cooperation were discussed, including avoiding double taxation.
The two sides discussed the possibility of signing an air transport agreement to increase direct flights between the two countries to promote trade and tourist cooperation.
The meeting with Alexander Mora, Foreign Trade Minister of Costa Rica, touched on ways of promoting bilateral relations in sectors such as agriculture, aviation, tourism and infrastructure.
