2 killed and 10 wounded in Northwest Pakistan

ISLAMABAD — Two soldiers were killed, and 10 others wounded, by a Pakistani Taliban suicide bomber, who targeted a military vehicle carrying a number of border guards in the city of Peshawar in the north western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The bomber, riding on a motorbike loaded with explosives, collided with a border security forces convoy in Hyatabad city, causing deaths and severe damage to two military vehicles, local police has said.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. The attack comes a day after Pakistan’s army announced an operation in the tribal province of Khyber to liquidate fighters affiliated with Daesh.
