DOHA: The UAE, represented by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, on Sunday took part in the Arab Peace Initiative Committee’s meeting in Doha, Qatar.
The meeting was chaired by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al Thani.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Secretary General of the League of Arab States Nabil Al Arabi participated in the meeting which discussed the Palestinian and Arab moves in the shadow of the stumbling peace process.
The UAE’s delegation to the meeting included assistant to the foreign minister for political affairs Dr Tareq Ahmed Al Haidan, director of Arab affairs at the Foreign Ministry Mohammed Sultan Al Suwaidi and ambassador of the UAE to Qatar Juma Rashid Saif Al Dhaheri.
