Abu Dhabi shares close higher

ABU DHABI, Abu Dhabi’s FTSE ADX index ended 0.713% higher Monday after a significant drop on Friday, underpinned by a remarkable rise in Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) which closed the session 4.170% higher.

The National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) was among the best performers after rising to AED32.00, 6.670% up from the last session.

The telecommunication index led the gains after rising 4.960 % on the last session, while the banking and financial services index continued its losses, closing 0.137% lower than the last session. However, FAB stemmed its losses, ending 0.440% up at AED13.660. International Holding Company, under the brand name ASMAK, ended flat at AED400.500.

Dubai general index lost 0.773%, following a decline in blue-chip Emaar Properties which ended 2.100% lower at AED5.600.
