Applications for the Academic Year 2013/2014 can be submitted from 14/04/2013 to 09/05/2013 by visiting www.adec.ac.ae and following the link for applying to Scholarships.
Dr. Eisa Al Matroushi, ADEC’s Guidance and Scholarship Division Manager, said that ADEC scholarship program offers Emirati students with unique educational opportunities in UAE universities and abroad.
“It aims to help develop qualified workforce that could meet job market needs and actively contribute to the socio-economic development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,” he added.
Recently, several induction sessions have been organized by ADEC to inform students about the scholarship requirements, process, disciplines, and stipends and other benefits, Al Matroushi pointed out.
After receiving applications, Al Matroushi said, interviews will be scheduled for final selection of legible applicants who must be UAE nationals scoring a minimum of 85% on G12 (or equivalent) and who are not younger than 18 for G12 graduates and not older than 24 years for undergraduates.
“Interested students can visit ADEC’s website, submit applications via the system of Guidance and Scholarship Division and attach the required documents. The system is designed to allow more effective communication with students who can submit and follow up their applications online, thus saving time and effort,” Al Matroushi added.
ADEC’s approved scholarship disciplines are Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Health Sciences, Medicine, Finance, Economics, History of Arts, International Studies, Museum Studies, Accounting, Tourism and Heritage, Journalism and Media, Media and Communication, Arts and Designing, Medical Radiology, Medical Labs, Pharmacology, and Dentistry.
The required documents include personal photo, passport copy, family book copy, Emirates ID copy, attested copy of G10, G11 and G11 grade transcripts, and a Letter of Admission (if any) to an ADEC-approved university in one of the approved disciplines.
