Al Kutbi participates in Charity Marathon in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, has hailed the distinguished organisation of the ADCB Zayed Sports City 5′&’10k Pink Run, which was held recently. The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, participated in the marathon along with 500 participants of various ages. Participants were split into groups, and grouped according to age.

Mr. Al Kutbi emphasised the importance and purpose of the marathon in encouraging charitable work among members of society. “It also instills the role of sport and its contribution to supporting noble causes, especially because proceeds from such events go to support special care centers,” noted Major General Al Kutbi.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police said that the country has provided a solid and modern infrastructure for sports activities for all. “It has established high-end stadiums, services, good roads and all the required facilities to create a suitable sports environment”, he explained. In conclusion, he highlighted the fact that marathon sports area key component of good health and wellbeing, cell regeneration, the secret to success, and superiority of mind. At the end of the event, he congratulated the winners and distributed medals and prizes to them.
