Israeli airstrike kills 4 Palestinians in Gaza’s Khan Yunis


Amman: Four Palestinians were murdered in an Israeli bombing targeting a house in Khan Yunis’ Al-Amal area, bringing the city’s martyr count to 16, local media in the Gaza Strip said Tuesday evening.

In the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli bombing destroyed a mosque and homes in the Ma’en neighborhood, east of Khan Yunis, the local media reported.

Governor of Hajjah reviews level of implementation of road projects through community initiatives

The Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, on Tuesday, along with the Director of the Security and Intelligence Service, Brigadier General Adel Al-Lahiji, reviewed the level of implementation of road projects through community initiatives in the province center and Sharas District.

He reviewed the level of implementation of the project to construct and expand the road to the village of Sayyid Harba in the governorate center, with community contribution and support from the local authority and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance.

The Governor of Hajjah heard from the Director General of the Engineering Unit, Engineer Abdullah Al-Haddad, an explanation about the level of implementation of the project, which is 1,551 meters long and four meters wide.

He and the Director of Sharas district, Gobran Radman, also reviewed the project to expand, improve, protect, and pave the Shalfa Road in the Beit Qadam district in the district, with support from the local authority, comm
unity contributions, and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance.

He listened to an explanation about the project, which is 1,350 meters long and five meters wide, and serves the isolation of Beit Qadam and a number of isolation and neighboring villages.

During the visit, Governor Al-Sufi stressed the importance of implementing road projects to deliver services to citizens and facilitate transportation, praising the community’s interaction in implementing initiatives and supporting the state’s efforts in the construction and development process.

The Governor of Hajjah inspected the project to build the Beit Al-Qahali Road, 2 kilometers long and four meters wide, with community contributions.

Governor Al-Sufi directed that the road project be included in the sixth phase of community initiatives and the provision of diesel to widen the narrow turns at the beginning of the road.

The Sufi governor and his companions also inspected a number of road projects through comm
unity initiatives and support from humanitarian partners.

Prince El Hassan visits Doctors Without Borders hospital for reconstructive surgery


Amman: Prince El Hassan bin Talal Tuesday visited the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) hospital for reconstructive surgery in Amman.

In a meeting with doctors and organisation representatives, Prince El Hassan lauded the MSF’s “effective” contribution to alleviating the impact of wars and unrest to promote human dignity.

Prince El Hassan talked about objectivity and practicality in providing humanitarian services to ensure the right to protection and respect. He discussed the need to adhere to human solidarity amidst rising hate speech.

For his part, the head of the MSF mission in Jordan, Moin Shaif, discussed the Israeli war on Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza as an “urgent necessity.”

Shaif urged expanding the scope of the humanitarian response in Gaza “without delay” by sending more trucks, establishing a mechanism to coordinate and monitor aid and maintaining an enabling environment for delivering relief in the embattled besieged enclave.

He said th
e MSF would take in more wounded people from Gaza “as soon as possible” to provide them with medical care in the hospital.

The meeting discussed the repercussions of the humanitarian and medical crisis in Gaza after nearly three months of Israeli war.

Marib discusses procedures for implementing water projects

The Tenders Committee in Ma’rib Governorate discussed the procedures for implementing planned projects in the field of water.

The meeting reviewed the comments submitted by the General Water Authority branch regarding special technical studies and specifications.

At the meeting, the Governor of Marib stressed the necessity of completing projects according to the specifications and time periods specified for them.

National debt increases JOD447mln last October


Amman: The public debt stock increased in October by about JOD447 million compared to September of 2023, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The national debt is at JOD32.301 billion, 89.6 per cent of GDP for October, compared to JOD30.667 billion at the end of 2022, 88.8 per cent of GDP for 2022, including the debt of the National Electricity Company and the Water Authority amounting to JOD8.8 billion.

The balance of external debt, after excluding what is held by the Social Security Corporation Investment Fund at the end of last October, was JOD17.914 billion, 49.7 per cent of GDP for October, compared to JOD16.488 billion in 2022, 47.7 per cent of GDP in 2022.

External debt service/interest during last October amounted to about JOD34.9 million, while external instalment payments amounted to JOD229.5 million.

The balance of internal debt, after excluding what is held by the Social Security Corporation Investment Fund at the end of last October, amounted to JOD14.386 billion, 39.9 per cent of JDP for Oc
tober, compared to JOD14.178 billion at the end of 2022, 41 per cent of GDP in 2021.

Ansar Allah politician strongly condemns assassination of Commander Al-Arouri and two Qassam commanders in Beirut

The Political Bureau of Ansar Allah strongly condemned the heinous crime of assassination committed by the Israeli enemy against the martyr, Commander Saleh Al-Arouri, and two Qassam commanders, with a drone in Beirut.

In a statement received by Saba on Tuesday the Political Bureau considered this targeting a brutal and cowardly crime that reflects the level of bankruptcy, decadence and criminality to which the criminal Zionist entity has reached.

He explained that this crime represents a violation of all international laws and humanitarian norms. It also provides additional bloody evidence of the level of Israeli brutality and barbarism and is part of the series of murder and crime committed by the Zionist enemy on a daily basis against the Palestinian people. Stressing that the Israeli enemy would not have dared to commit this crime without American support and support.
