Hadramaut organizes evening event to commemorate National steadfastness Day


The local authority of Hadramaut province has organized an evening event on the ninth anniversary of National steadfastness Day.

During the event, which was attended by a number of local leaders and notables of the province, speeches were given that emphasized the importance of commemorating the day to highlight the crime and destruction that befell Yemen and the unparalleled popular steadfastness that met with it.

The speeches pointed out that the sacrifices of the Yemeni people resulted in victory and glory and removed Yemen from the circle of guardianship and dependency abroad.

Participants in the event affirmed the continued mobilization to support the Palestinian people by attacking enemy ships in the Arab Sea, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and confront the US-British aggression on Yemen.

Governor of Hodeida inaugurates Ophthalmology Center at Al-Thawra Hospital Authority


Hodeida Governor Mohammed Ayyash Qahim inaugurated on Sunday the Ophthalmology Center at Al-Thawra General Hospital in the governorate.

Qahim was briefed on the components and contents of the center and the services it provides to patients, including examination and general surgery, where he listened to the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Suhail, to explain about the plan and mechanism of operating the center and its importance in keeping pace with the treatment of cases visiting the Authority.

The Governor of Hodeida praised the efforts to establish the center and the development vision of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in expanding medical services and opening more specialized centers, which represent a priority for upgrading the service system and the qualitative transition of the hospital’s role to meet the overall medical needs of the people of Hodeida and its neighboring governorates.

He considered the qualitative success and continuous achievements of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority as a resu
lt of the administration and a sense of humanitarian and national responsibility towards the requirements of the stage that the country is going through, especially in the medical and health field, which requires more efforts and solidarity.

For his part, Dr. Suhail explained that the launch of the Ophthalmology Center crowns the path of ambition in developing the medical service for the treatment of eye patients, which was limited to the eye clinic, indicating that the center will provide broader services, including performing eye operations.

In addition, the Governor of Hodeidah inspected the progress of work on the project to establish an intensive care department that is being implemented within the framework of expanding the infrastructure projects of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority to provide and enhance services to patients.

During the visit, Governor Qahim urged the speedy completion of the construction of the department, stressing that the local authority in the province will do its best to support t
he department with medical devices and equipment out of keenness on the success of such medical projects.

The Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Suhail, appreciated the cooperation of the Governor of the Governorate and the First Undersecretary of the Governorate, and the extent of continuous interaction in supporting the hospital’s projects and overcoming the difficulties facing it, stressing that the leadership of the Ministry of Health highly appreciates all the efforts and contributions in support of the hospital, whose steadfastness represents a success for all, especially under the circumstances of the difficult exceptional stage.

Israel killed 14 Palestinians in Gaza Sunday


Amman: 14 Palestinians were killed Sunday, as Israeli occupation aircraft and artillery bombed various areas in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, on the 177th day of the ongoing Israeli massacres in the coastal enclave.

According to Palestinian medical sources, 11 citizens were killed and dozens were injured after the occupation bombed citizens in Bani Suheila area, east of Khan Yunis.

The sources added that a woman and her child were also killed after Israeli artillery shelled a home west of Khan Yunis.

In a preliminary toll, Palestinians killed by the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7 rose to 32,705 victims, the majority are children and women, in addition to 75,190 others injured.

Police issue statement Gaza war demonstrations

Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) Sunday issued a statement on the events that accompanied the vigils and gatherings that took place last night in Amman.

The statement explained that the police dealt last night with gatherings that took place in Amman and that police officers present to maintain security dealt during practiced “utmost discipline and professionalism” with thousands of demonstrators of thousands.

The statement notes that security officials have not prevented thousands of Jordanians from expressing their opinion.

According to th e statement, during the past night and the days preceding it, the gatherings witnessed violations, abuses and attempts to verbally and physically attack PSD officers and to sabotage and attack public and private property.

Demonstrators blocked roads and tried to be in direct contact with security officers, the statement explained.

The statement notes that PSD officers exercised “utmost restraint,” especially towards female demonstrators, highlighting that
with the increase in violations and intentional assault and abuse, “a number of people were arrested.”

The PSD vowed to investigate footage that went viral.

The statement notes: “The Public Security Directorate will continue its professional work in maintaining community security and peace and enabling citizens to express their opinions in accordance with the laws.

“It will also continue its work in implementing and enforcing the law against anyone who attempts to transgress, or incite by action or word against security personnel.”

Inauguration of construction of two roads in Taiz


The local authority, in Taiz governorate, launched the distribution of cement and gasoline for two road construction and paving projects in the Sharaab Al-Salam and Al-Ta’ziyah districts.

During the inauguration of the two projects, the Director of Sharaab Al Salam Directorate confirmed that supporting community initiatives comes within the framework of the interest and efforts of the leadership of the local authority.

Pro-Aqsa committee discusses Quds revival day program


A meeting for the pro-Aqsa national higher committee on Sunday discussed arrangements for Quds International Day that will be revived late in this Ramadan.

The meeting dealt with the program of the event at the levels of Sana’a City and other Yemeni governorates, and tasks of different authorities to celebrate the day.

The meeting underlined need for coordination between central and local authorities in order to revel this important occasion.
