The meetings focussed on bolstering bilateral relations between the UAE and Russia, developing economic cooperation and on issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Hamed met today, at the Russian Ministry of Finance, with the Russian Finance Minister Anton Saloanov and discussed bilateral cooperation ties between the two sides and the importance of developing them for the joint interests of the two peoples.
They reviewed the distinguished ties, coordination and cooperation levels in all fields, especially the financial, trade and economic areas, in the light of the two countries’ leadership keenness on bolstering the relations between the two countries.
The two sides stressed the importance of developing relations through mutual meetings, visits and establishing partnerships between the institutions in both countries.
They underscored the role of the private sector and businesspersons in the development of economic projects and contributing to enhancing trade growth between the UAE and Russia as well as working together to take the necessary measures to increase the volume of mutual projects.
Sheikh Hamed said, “The UAE has strengthened its global stature in safe and advanced financial policies, which enabled the international companies to establish important partnerships in the country in various investment and economic fields”.
For his part, the Russian minister hailed the comprenhensive development being witnessed by the UAE in all economic and social fields, expressing his country’s desire to exchange expertise with the UAE in the economic and investments areas in the interest of the two countries.
Sheikh Hamed met Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of Vnesheconombank. They discussed the banking cooperation and investments. Sheikh Hamed and Dmitriev expressed their interest to translate the distinguished relations to strengthen the banking sector and economic cooperation ties.
The two meetings were attended by UAE Ambassador to Russia Omer Saif Ghobash and a number of officials.
