Al Hudaida: The Khalifa bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has launched the second phase of the grant announced by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for distributing food assistance among Yemeni people.
Speaking to a ceremony on the occasion, Akram Abdullah Attiya, Governor of Hadida referred to the important role that UAE president, government and people are playing for helping Yemenis through humanitarian works and offering aid in all fields.
He added: ” The great contributions of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan are well known to the Yemeni people and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is following the foot steps of the late Sheikh Zayed in providing assistance to Yemenis and the implementation of relief programmes to alleviate their suffering.” He also expressed his gratitude for the great role of the Foundation towards helping Yemenis and the needy people in different parts of the world.
For his part, the Chairman of KZHF affirmed UAE leadership’s keenness on carrying on humanitarian and charitable work, citing that around one million families in Yemen are benefitting from AED 500 million donation nationwide.
He added that KZHF has completed the first phase of distributing food assistance among the people of Yemen in Abyan Governorate and is currently implementing the second phase in Al Hudaida Governorate and expressed thanks local officials for their cooperation.
