Abu Dhabi: The Executive Committee affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Emirate’s Executive Council discussed Wednesday the ways to encourage private sector to participate in hosting tourism related and entertainment events targeting the UAE people and the visitors to Abu Dhabi.
The committee, at a meeting presided over by the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Tourism and Culture Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, ratified a proposal for hosting a five-months long entertainment event at the Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi city. The event to be organised by the Abu Dhabi Municipality in association with a private firm specialised in event management, will start in November this year and run up to March 2013.
The entertainment project is expected to lure more tourists to the emirate giving added life to the thriving tourism sector through provision of more recreational places.
This will also give the residents in the country more opportunities of entertainment with participation of world troupes.
