In a move aimed at stepping up cooperation and synergic work under the directives of the UAE government, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Dubai Customs signed at the MoI's HQ in Abu Dhabi, a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Signed by Maj. Gen. Salem Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior, and Mohamed Al Ghafari, Executive Director of the Human Resources Sector, Dubai Customs, the MoU aims to step up joint cooperation between the two sides in matters of common interest in accordance with the provisions of the memorandum, and to bolster cooperation between government agencies across the country.
Mohamed Al Ghafari expressed his pleasure for the strategic and fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in the field of training. He praised the Ministry’s efforts to diversify its specialized training programs aimed at enriching the training and education environment.
The efforts are expected to be positively reflected on developing the HR efficiency, and consolidating the concept of sustainable development and self-learning.
Al Ghafri stressed that courses organized by the MoI will represent an essential source of valuable information for Dubai Customs employees and cover all the training needs of employees across various disciplines.
He also referred to the annual training plan adopted by Dubai Customs to keep pace with its 2021-2026 strategy, and its unflinching keenness to develop the security skills of the inspectors, while maintaing a futuristic vision to maintain the security of society, especially as staff training is a major tool for Dubai Customs to ensure that employees’ expertise and skills are developed at all times.
