Dubai: Acting upon directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department launched today the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture.
The idea of establishing the centre were selected from thousands of proposals Sheikh Mohammed has received as part of Ramadan charitable initiatives. Sheikh Mohammed has instructed the Department to immediately implement the project at a plot he allocated at Al Barsha after viewing a presentation and plan on the project.
Dr. Hamad Al Shaibani, Director of the Department, told the media today the centre, a qualitative addition to Sheikh Mohammed’s record of many initiatives, will serve as a platform for spreading Islamic culture and Islam’s tolerant teachings among non-Muslims.
Sheikh Mohammed has earlier met with a number of new Muslims and exchanged Ramadan best wishes with them.
