WAM Ra’s al-Khaimah, Nov 22nd, 2012 (WAM)–His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has paid a visit to an elderly citizen, Ghowiya Khabab Ghusaib, at her residence in the Shawkah district of Ra’s al-Khaimah.

Ghowiya, a widow who lives alone, told Sheikh Mohammed “Thank Allah I have met and seen you.” During a friendly and informal conversation, Sheikh Mohammed learned from Ghowiya of her needs and gave instructions that she should receive full support.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince commented later that “It is our duty to care for elders who persevered to serve the nation and raise up generations. It is time to pay them back in line, with the values of our religion and norms of the Emirati community.” Ghowiya had spoken of her wish to meet Sheikh Mohammed during an interview recently broadcast by the Abu Dhabi satellite TV channel.
