UAE Ambassador discusses trade and investment policy with Nigerian official

WAM Abuja, Nov 8th, 2012 (WAM) — UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Rashid Nasser Al-Dhaheri met yesterday morning with Permanent Secretary of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Dauda Kigbu.

They discussed, during the meeting, a number of issues related to trade and investment policy, including Memorandum of Understanding and joint trade agreements between the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The meeting, which was attended by a representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and a representative of the Investment Corporation of Nigeria who were invited to this meeting by the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, highlighted that the United Arab Emirates is a friendly country and stressed the need to expedite the completion of the study on Memorandum of Understanding and trade agreements between the two countries and ways to coordinate joint action along with discussing items belonging to the two sides.

The two sides agreed to communicate in this regard between the mission and the Comission which was formed by the Nigerian authorities and the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
