BOGOTÁ, Salem Rashed Al Owais, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, met with Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, and conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes for his country and people for further development and prosperity.
Al Owais also affirmed the UAE’s keenness to deepen relations with Colombia and promote common interests.
For his part, President Petro praised the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples, as well as the development of ties at all levels. He also conveyed his greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and expressed his wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.
He also underscored the Colombian government’s commitment to using clean energy sources and praised the strategic initiatives implemented by the UAE to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
