DUBAI, In cooperation with Emirates Auction, and with the support of Emirates Telecommunication Group Company PJSC (Etisalat), the Most Noble Numbers charity auctions will include Diamond mobile numbers from Etisalat.
The auctions’ proceeds will go towards supporting the efforts of the 1 Billion Meals initiative, the largest in the region to provide food support to the underprivileged and undernourished, especially children, refugees, displaced people, and those affected by disasters and crises.
The Most Noble Numbers charity auctions will be held over two events – in Dubai on Saturday, April 16, at the Four Seasons Hotel Jumeirah; and in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, April 20, at the Emirates Palace, in the presence of distinguished personalities and philanthropists who are keen to support this humanitarian cause in the month of giving.
The auctions support the humanitarian goals of the 1 Billion Meals initiative organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which is seeking to send one billion messages of hope and solidarity from the UAE to those in need – especially at a time when food prices are rising globally and hunger threatens more than 800 million people.
At the auction in Dubai, Etisalat is putting up the Diamond+ mobile number 549999999 and the Diamond mobile numbers 569999995, 569199999, 569999955, 565566666.
Meanwhile, at the auction in Abu Dhabi, Etisalat’s Diamond numbers are 547444444, 542244444, 542422222, 547799999, and 567777722.
Masood Mohamed Sharif Mahmood, CEO of Etisalat, confirmed that the company is participating for the second year in a row in the Most Noble Numbers charity auction. Last year, the company supported the 100 Million Meals campaign in raising more than AED50 million, where bidding on special numbers provided by Etisalat reached a total of AED3.6 million.
He said: “We are proud to once again join the social movement and support an innovative concept such as the Most Noble Numbers charity auction, which is part of the wider 1 Billion Meals initiative to extend a helping hand to 50 countries.”
He added: “In addition to the special mobile numbers provided for the charity auctions, Etisalat is contributing to the target of the 1 Billion Meals initiative by operating several donation channels, including the Smiles app and SMS, as well as promoting the initiative and raising its awareness through several marketing tools.”
Donors can contribute to the 1 Billion Meals initiative through the following donation channels: the campaign’s official website: www.1billionmeals.ae; bank transfer to the campaign’s account at Emirates NBD, number: AE300260001015333439802.
Donors can also opt to donate AED1 a day through a monthly subscription by sending “Meal” or “????” via SMS to 1020 on the du network or 1110 on the Etisalat network. Donations can also be made through campaign’s call center via a toll-free number 8009999.
The initiative is also welcoming donations through the Giving Challenge with the participation of government entities, companies, schools, and educational institutions in the UAE, via the crowdfunding platform YallaGive.
The 1 Billion Meals initiative The 1 Billion Meals initiative, the largest of its kind in the region, represents the values of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which aims to involve everyone in charity and humanitarian work, including individuals and institutions from various sectors in the UAE and the world, with its focus on the concept of sustainable community financing to provide food support and the essential food security for the most needy groups, and opened the door to participation in a comprehensive societal movement aimed at weaving a network for those who cannot find a livelihood.
