Naif Police Station slashes Emergency Response Time to only 1.16 minutes

The Naif Police Station has recorded an emergency response average time of 1.16 minutes in 2021. The police station traffic safety and road control efforts have also resulted in recording zero traffic-related deaths per 100,000 population.

Maj-Gen Al Mansouri said, “Over the past years, the Naif Police Station has witnessed qualitative leaps in all security, criminal, administrative, and traffic fields. They have also implemented many development programmes to ensure all strategic goals are achieved. As a result, Naif Police Station has achieved a fast emergency response time of 1.16 minutes when the target was 2.6 minutes.”

Maj-Gen Al Mansouri confirmed that the multiple results and achievements of the officers and employees of the Naif Police Station show the strength of the police performance and reflect Dubai Police’s keenness on enhancing the security and safety of residents, ensuring their happiness, and providing services that exceed the public’s expectations per the highest standards and practices. He pointed out that Naif is one of the most vital zones in Dubai, for it receives shoppers, visitors and tourists who flock to the area that hosts many touristic and commercial attractions.

Traffic Safety & Road Control

Maj-Gen Al Mansouri also praised efforts made by the Traffic Records Department at Naif Police Post and lauded their keenness on ensuring the safety of road users and saving lives through the efficient deployment of patrols in the jurisdiction area, which led to recording zero traffic-related deaths per capita.

Happiness at Workplace

Maj. Gen. Al Mansouri was also briefed on the administrative initiatives implemented by Naif Police Station for employees last year, which helped the station score 98.2% on the job happiness metre when the target was 95%.

The police station organised various specialised courses, which benefited 190 personnel. It also motivated and recognised the accomplishments of 300 distinguished employees in 2021.

The inspection of the Naif Police Station took place in the presence of Brigadier Dr. Tariq Muhammad Nour Tahlak, Director of Naif Police Station; Brigadier Khaled bin Suleiman, Director of the Control and Inspection Department; Colonel Omar Ashour, Deputy Director of Naif Police Station; Colonel Eng. Dr. Tamim Muhammad Al-Hajj, Director of the Environment, Health and Public Safety Department in the General Department of Logistics Support; and several senior officers.

UAE leaders congratulate President of Georgia on Independence Day

ABU DHABI, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory message to President Salome Zourabichvili of Georgia on her country’s Independence Day, marked on 26th May.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, sent similar message to President Zourabichvili, as well as Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.

Dubai Customs carries out 57 CSR initiatives in 4 months

Dubai Customs has reinforced its community engagement efforts to continue to create positive social impact. During the first third of this year, it ran 57 corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives benefiting more than 81,000 people from different segments of society.

Highly acclaimed by strategic partners from government entities and diplomatic corps, these initiatives were both diverse and inclusive as they covered key CSR areas to which Dubai Customs is committed including environment, health, charity, volunteering, employee welfare, education and awareness.

“Dubai Customs has in place a corporate social responsibility strategy that aims to bring together and engage all stakeholders including our employees, customers and partners to contribute to the well-being of the community,” said Khalil Saqer Bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communications Department at Dubai Customs. “Each year we carry out a range of community-focused CSR activities and initiatives with far-reaching, sustainable impacts that contribute to and improve our local society.”

Dubai Customs is highly concerned with community development, which is one of its key strategic objectives, side-to-side with its economic and security responsibilities, said Bin Gharib. “Our unique approach to community development targets the integration of community and environmental issues, with the strategic goal of sustainable development. Imparting the values of giving, volunteerism, solidarity and social cohesion to our people and other community members, particularly the youth, is also at the centre of our CSR plans and programs.”

The foregoing holy month of Ramadan was filled with humanitarian and community initiatives introduced by Dubai Customs that targeted 50,000 senior citizens, orphans, needy families, and workers across the UAE.

Dubai Customs’ commitment to community uplift is a fundamental part of its overall business strategy, which incorporates and relies on active participation from all stakeholders. “This CSR strategy has been successful in serving society through creative initiatives that achieved a 92% community happiness in 2021,” explained Bin Gharib.

UAE President, VP condole King Salman on passing of mother of Prince Fahd bin Dhaar bin Turki

ABU DHABI, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, expressing his condolences and sincere sympathy over the death of the mother of Prince Fahd bin Dhaar bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, sent a similar cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
