Sultan Al Qasimi receives chairman and members of Board of Trustees of Sharjah Education Council

SHARJAH, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received on Thursday at Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre, Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Sharjah Education Council (SEC), and members of the council after its new formation.

Dr. Sheikh Sultan welcomed the members of the Board of Trustees and spoke about the quality of education in the Emirate of Sharjah and its importance in developing the educational and cultural prowess of children.

The meeting also dealt with many scientific topics and specialisations of the Sharjah Education Council, which contribute to raising the educational level through many educational plans, initiatives and programmes, and enhancing the participation of all parties to the educational system, in addition to the distinguished level of government nurseries based on the directives and follow-up of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees including Dr. Obaid Ali Obaid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Abdullah Majid Ahmed Al Mualla, Ali Ahmed Yaqoub Yousef Al Hosani, Dr. Saif Khamis Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Aisha Mohamed Zayed Khalifa Al Tunaiji, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Mulla, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council.

Expo Centre Sharjah all set to launch 1st edition of Al Asayl exhibition 2022

SHARJAH, The Expo Centre Sharjah is all set to organise the emirate’s first-of-its-kind event dedicated to showcasing horses, camels, and falconry equipment and supplies “Al Asayl Exhibition 2022,” at Expo Al Dhaid from 8th to 10th September.

Held in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the first edition of the exhibition will present a regional display window for innovative products, services, and trends.

With its very first edition, the three-day fair will be the ‘place-to-be’ for enthusiasts and professionals with the most relevance and the highest reach within the industry.

It will bring together horse, camel, and gaming bird owners, breeders, stables, clubs, vets, professional and amateur riders, in addition to leading companies that will display the latest products for the upkeep of horses, camels, gaming birds, and other traditional sports.

The show’s visitors will get an opportunity to learn about arts and crafts, equestrian, stable equipment, sports equipment, supplements and fodder, animal transportation and relocation, as well as breeding farms. The event will also promote the awareness of younger generations about traditions and authentic Arab culture.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, stressed that the event will significantly support the Centre’s strategic plans, aiming to enhance the momentum of events and activities hosted by Expo Al Dhaid.

“We are looking forward to hosting additional exhibitions and conferences that would increase the industry’s contribution to the emirate’s national economy in general and support the industrial, commercial, and tourism sectors in particular,” Al Midfa said.

The exhibition will open to the public on Thursday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, while on Friday, it will open from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

UAE announces 481 new COVID-19 cases, 540 recoveries, and no deaths in last 24 hours

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 260,132 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 481 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 1,015,879.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, and the death toll remained unchanged at 2,341.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 540 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 994,898.
