Kuwait Crown Prince exchanges Eid Al-Fitr greetings with Arab, Muslim leaders, crown princes of GCC states

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday exchanged Eid Al-Fitr greetings with leaders of the Arab and Muslim countries as well as crown princes of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

In his congratulatory cables, His Highness the Crown Prince expressed best wishes for the Arab and Muslim nations to enjoy more security, stability and prosperity.

Kuwait Crown Prince receives Eid Al-Fitr greetings from senior officials

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday received cables of greetings from National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highness the Chief of the National Guards Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the holy occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

In their cables, the senior officials wished His Highness the Crown Prince everlasting wellbeing and the homeland more progress and prosperity.

In reply cables, His Highness the Crown Prince thanked the senior officials for their sincere sentiments, expressing the best wishes for them and the homeland under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Kuwait Crown Prince receives phone call from Jordanian King

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Thursday a phone call from the King of Jordan Abdullah II who expressed greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince on the happy occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

In his call, the Jordanian King also wished them everlasting wellbeing and the two sisterly Arab countries and their peoples, as well as Arab and Muslim nations further progress and prosperity.

On his part, His Highness the Crown Prince thanked King Abdullah for his good sentiments which reflected the strong fraternal bonds linking the two countries and peoples.

He wished the Jordanian King everlasting good health and Jordan and its people as well as Arab and Muslim nations more advancement and welfare.

OIC chief calls for humanitarian truce in Sudan during Eid Al-Fitr days

Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Taha has called for a humanitarian truce in Sudan during Eid Al-Fitr days.

In a press statement on Thursday, Taha underlined the need of a ceasefire for allowing the safe movement of civilians and members of the diplomatic missions and evacuation of injured and trapped people.

The Secretary General urged the warring parties to end fighting and embrace dialogue and negotiation.

He also expressed the OIC readiness to employ all potentials to resume dialogue between Sudanese parties and to deliver humanitarian assistance to people in need.

UN envoy offers condolences to Yemeni people in stampede

Today, the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, expressed his condolences to the Yemeni people, over the tragic stampede in the capital, Sana’a.

The UN envoy said in a tweet on “Twitter”, “I and all members of my office feel great pain and sadness about the tragic stampede that occurred in Sana’a on the eve of Eid.”

He added, “My heartfelt condolences to all the bereaved Yemenis today, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
