Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announces liquefied gas prices

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced on Sunday the liquefied gas prices, namely Propane and Butane for May.

In a statement to KUNA, KPC added that Propane metric ton will be sold at the value of US 555 during May, and the Butane metric ton at the same price.

Both gases are used in production of petrochemicals as well as cooking and heating purposes, it added.

The liquefied gas prices are affected by the increase and decrease of oil prices, market supply and demand and other factors

Al-Sudani meets a German delegation and confirms the signing of the first batch of contracts with Siemens

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, discussed today, Sunday, with a German government delegation that included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cooperation and Development, Jochen Flaspart, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Werner Caster, strengthening relations between Iraq and Germany, and the best way to activate partnership agreements, according to the interests of the two friendly countries and the Iraqi-German Action Program in all fields.

The Prime Minister blessed the opening of the Iraqi-German Center for Employment, Immigration and Reintegration, stressing Iraq’s determination to develop bilateral relations and expand the agreement between the two countries.

Al-Sudani indicated that the first batch of contracts was signed with Siemens, Germany, and that the second batch was being signed and progress in cooperation in the fields of health, the environment and climate change solutions.

Iraq and Turkey discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Technical Affairs, Abd al-Rahman Hamid al-Husseini, received today, Sunday, the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Alireza Konay, in his office, at the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they discussed the course of bilateral relations that bring the two countries together, and work to strengthen them in various fields in a manner that guarantees the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

The two sides reviewed the results of the recent visit of Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al- Sudani, to Ankara and the implementation of what was agreed upon, as well as the recent results of the meeting of the Defense Ministers of Syria, Turkey, Iran and Russia, and stressed the need for stability in the region and the start of reconstruction operations.

The Ministry of Fisheries, represented by the Production and Marketing Services Sector, called on all fishermen, agents, traders, and shops selling fish products and marine life not to trade and sell fresh shrimp during the ban period.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Fisheries for the Production and Marketing Services Sector, Eng. Abdul Ghani Al-Wali, stressed the importance of adhering to Ministerial Resolution No. (40) of the year 1444 AH issued on Ramadan 24, 1444 AH, corresponding to April 15, 2023 AD, regarding closing the shrimp fishing season in the Red Sea region from the marine waters of the Republic of Yemen, including Preserves the marine wealth and the sustainability of the fish wealth.

He pointed out the importance of the adherence of fishermen, agents, merchants, and shops selling fish products and marine life to the requirement that there be a seal or sticker of the supplying company on frozen shrimp products that enter the market during the ban period, with the purchase invoice attached to avoid any penalties.

Al-Wali pointed out that the production and marketing services sector will carry out a monitoring and inspection campaign, starting next Tuesday, through field teams carrying cards and an official mandate from the ministry, in order to control and confiscate any quantities of fresh shrimp sold in the markets.. stressing that in the event that there are frozen shrimp, they must be presented The purchase invoice unless the necessary measures are taken and the violating quantities are seized and confiscated.

Dr. Abu Lahoum lays foundation stone for number of water projects in Taiz

Today, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs – Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Aboud Abu Lahoum, laid the foundation stone for ten water projects in Taiz province, at a total cost of 292 million and 600 thousand riyals.

The projects for which the foundation stone was laid in the presence of the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, and the Chairman of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, Adel Bader, include the drilling of six artesian wells and two manual wells, and the rehabilitation of three projects with solar energy.

More than 111,000 people benefit from the projects implemented with funding from the Central Emergency Development Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Finance and the local authority.

The projects include drilling a well for Al-Kamb Al-Sairah project and the Al-Majasha well in Maqbana district at a cost of 66,290,000 riyals, in addition to drilling the Bani Awn well in Shara’ab Al-Salam district, the Bani Sami’ well in the Shara’ab Al-Runa district, and the drilling of a Thaba well in the Mawiyah district, at a cost of 92,552,000 riyals.

Projects also include the rehabilitation of the Aqios project with solar energy in the Shara’ab Al-Salam district at a cost of 32 million and 575 thousand riyals, the rehabilitation of the eastern and western Himyar project with solar energy in the Shara’ab Al-Rouna district at a cost of 59 million and 993 thousand riyals, and the rehabilitation of the Al-Jaashish project with solar energy, the first phase in the Shara’ab Al-Rouna district, at a cost of eight million and 190 thousand riyals.

The projects include digging two manual wells in Al-Araf area in Maqbana district, at a cost of 30 million riyals, and conducting experimental pumping of the Bani Sha’ab Al-Wadha wells in Shara’ab Al-Salam district, at a cost of 3 million riyals.

During the laying of the foundation stone, Dr. Abu Lahoum confirmed that these projects come in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, to pay attention to water projects and focus on them to serve the largest segment of citizens.

He pointed out that the main objective of these projects is to provide water for the people of the targeted areas, especially those that suffer from a shortage of water projects, pointing out that these projects will be completed within a period not exceeding two months.
