Woman killed in explosion of body left over from aggression in Marib

A woman was killed today, Wednesday, in the explosion of a body left over from the aggression in Harib district in Marib.

A local official in the province told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that a 35-year-old woman was killed as a result of the explosion of a body left over from the aggression in Naadh area in Al-Janah district of Harib district.

It is noteworthy that the aggression remnants, including mines and cluster bombs, have caused dozens of civilian casualties in the province.

Guterres stresses the need for strict compliance with the arms embargo on Libya.

The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, called on all Libyan and international actors to ensure strict compliance with the arms embargo and full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Libya.

Guterres stressed, in his new report on the implementation of the arms embargo on Libya, the need to strictly implement the arms embargo and conduct ship inspections off the coast of Libya.

“The action plan related to the withdrawal of mercenaries, fighters, and foreign forces must also be complied with, calling for the importance of training and capacity-building members of the Libyan Coast Guard and Navy, in accordance with the arms embargo.” He added.

“The need to provide border management support to countries neighboring Libya, to enhance implementation of the arms embargo, and the need to disarm, demobilize, and reintegrate armed groups once the conditions are conducive to such a process,” he highlighted.

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation followed up yesterday on the conditions of the former Libyan employees of the Egyptian Arab Contractor Company and its headquarters in Tripoli.

TheMinistry’s Administration of Labor and Occupational Safety Inspection , visited the company’s headquarters, to follow up on the conditions of the former Libyan employees of the company that left the country in 2014, and to oblige it to pay the financial dues of those employees who were working for it.

The Ministry also discussed the possibility of returning them to their work for those who want to do so and the possibility of providing job opportunities for new seekers.

During a call with Al-Menfi, Norland: We agreed to ensure that Libya is not used as a platform for meddling in Sudan.

The U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, said that he agreed, during a call with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, on the importance of establishing a joint force to patrol the southern borders and ensure Libya is not used as a platform for meddling in Sudan.

Norland reiterated U.S. support for the UN-facilitated political process leading to early elections in Libya.

“We also discussed the crucial role of national reconciliation, regional stability, and improving the revenue management process to ensure Libya’s wealth benefits all Libyans.” U.S. Embassy said in a tweet.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Aquila Saleh”, met today, Tuesday, the member of the House of Representatives – the head of the Joint Committee for the Preparation of Electoral Laws (6 + 6), representing the House of Representatives, “Jalal Al-Shuwaidi”.

During the meeting, which was held in his office in the city of al-Qubbah, Saleh was briefed on all the developments discussed by the joint committee and on the latest understandings reached, according to what was published by the Media Center of the Speaker of the House of Representatives on his official Facebook.
