Israel injures two Palestinians near Ramallah

At least two young Palestinian people were wounded by the Israeli occupation forces’ fire Sunday evening at Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, Palestinian Health Ministry said Sunday.

One of them was wounded, by live ammunition, in the chest and thigh, and the other one sustained a slight injury in the thigh, the ministry added in a statement.

The two were wounded by the Israeli forces while they were walking on the main street, according to some local sources.

Last Friday, some settlers attacked the village’s farmers, injuring four of them and setting fire to five vehicles.

Erdogan re-elected as Turkiye’s president – election commission

Chairman of Turkiye’s Supreme Election Council (YSK) announced Sunday that the incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been re-elected as the country’s leader.

Yener said that Erdogan won Turkiye’s presidency over opposition challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu in the second-round runoff vote.

He pointed out that Erdogan won the race with 52.14 percent, while Kilicdaroglu got 47.86 percent of the votes after counting 99.43 percent of the votes. (pick up previous)

Kuwaiti shooter wins bronze medal in World Cup Shotgun

Kuwait’s Khaled Al-Mudhaf snatched on Saturday the bronze medal in the Trap Men category of the Shooting World Cup Shotgun, currently held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

His compatriot Mansour Al-Rashidi came fourth in the Skeet Men category of the same championship, President of the Kuwait Shooting Federation Duaij Al-Otaibi announced in a press statement.

He lauded the successive achievements of the Kuwaiti athletes in international championships despite fierce competition from the world’s top shooters.

Italian shooter Fabbrizi Massimo came first and won the gold medal and Australian shooter Willett James won the sliver medal of the Trap Men competition.

The ISSF World Cup Shotgun is held in Kazakhstan during the period from May 20 to May 29.
