KSrelief Delivers 25 Tons of Dates to Uzbekistan

Yesterday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) successfully delivered a generous gift of 25 tons of dates to Uzbekistan. The packages were officially presented by Saudi Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Yousef bin Saleh Al-Otaibi, in the presence of the KSrelief team, at the Kingdom’s embassy in Tashkent.

This gift is part of the relief and humanitarian programs offered by the Saudi government to other countries in need around the world.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets with French Counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met today with French Minister of Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh in Riyadh.

They reviewed the strong relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them in various fields. The two ministers also discussed the latest developments in the international arena and addressed the most prominent topics at the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh.

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati attended the meeting.

GCC Secretary-General Reiterates Council’s Commitment to Confronting Daesh

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, underscored the Council’s commitment to confronting Daesh on all fronts, dismantling its networks and countering its global ambitions in a way that contributes to finding a collective understanding among the members of the Global Coalition to counter Daesh.

Albudaiwi made the remarks during his participation today in Riyadh at the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh chaired by The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Coalition members attended the meeting.

The GCC Secretary General expressed profound gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for hosting the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh.

Albudaiwi said that the importance of the meeting lies in deepening political cooperation between coalition members. He added that it is an excellent opportunity for consultation and the exchange of views on strategies and means to confront the serious challenges posed by Daesh. He went on to say that all efforts should be coordinated with regional and multilateral initiatives to confront all terrorist organizations to enhance regional and global security and stability.

Director of OIC Women’s Group Commends Kingdom’s Efforts to Enhance Women’s Role in Line with Vision 2030

The Executive Director of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Women Development Organization (WDO) Dr., Afnan bint Abdullah Al-Shuaibi, praised the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance the role of women in line with its Vision 2030.

Dr. Al-Shuaibi delivered a speech at the opening of the second regular session of the Ministerial Council of WDO, which was held today in Cairo.

In a session discussing the progress achieved by women in the Arab world and the obstacles they face, she pointed out that women in the Kingdom enjoy unlimited support from the leadership, seen in Saudi women occupying the highest positions inside and outside the Kingdom in various fields and sectors.

She emphasized that the WDO is working to strengthen its partnerships with member states, sister organizations, United Nations agencies, and development agencies around the world through designating focal points, planning visits, and virtual meetings.
