Dubai records AED12.5 bn in weekly real estate transactions

DUBAI, 9th June, 2023 (WAM) A total of 3,625 real estate and properties transactions valued at AED12.5 billion were conducted during the week ending 16th June 2023, according to figures released by the Dubai Land Department (DLD). The DLD report showed that 189 plots were sold for AED 2.28 billion, 2,753 apartments and villas were sold for AED 7.01 billion. The top three transactions were a land in Palm Deira sold for AED 167.88 million, followed by a land that was sold for AED 136 million in Business Bay, and a land sold for AED 125 million in Al Thanyah First in third place. Al Hebiah Fifth recorded the most transactions for this week by 34 sales transactions worth AED 88.58 million, followed by Wadi Al Safa 3 with 24 sales transactions worth AED 548.44 million, and Madinat Hind 4 with 24 sales transactions worth AED 28 million in third place. The top three transfers for apartments and villas were an apartment was sold for AED 112 million in Island 2, an apartment was second in the list sold for AED 86 million in Palm Jumeirah, and thirdly it was an apartment sold for AED 80 million in Marsa Dubai. Ministry of Culture’s Pavilion at DIBF Adorned with Traditional Design

The pavilion of the Ministry if Culture at the 32nd Doha International Book Fair is adorned with traditional design that reflects the Qatari heritage.

Besides the books, the pavilion has several sections, including the music section, where traditional instruments are exhibited, the old books and manuscripts sections and the Qatari traditional attires and accessories.

The pavilion is attracting crowds of visitors from different nationalities, who wish to learn about the different aspects of the Qatari culture and heritage.

In this context, Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Culture, Nasser Al Malki said in remarks to QNA, that the design of the ministry’s pavilion was inspired by the traditional Qatari architecture.

The Pavilion showcases traditional items with special focus on the Bisht (traditional men’s cloak), which the ministry is preparing to list in the United Nations as one of the Qatari heritage elements.

For her part, Head of Translation Department at the Ministry of Culture Sheikha Rashid Al Kuwari told QNA that the Ministry is participating in this edition of DIBF with many different publications, including books on enhancing identity, in addition to a number of publications that were translated in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Doha. a number of books translated from several languages will be launched during the Book Fair.

The pavilion displays a variety of its publications in Arabic and English in the fields of literature, poetry, novels, children’s literature, theater, heritage and fine arts.

With the participation of over 500 publishers from 37 countries, the 32nd DIBF will run through June 21 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

India, Greece to enhance bilateral ties

India and Greece agreed to enhance cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Thursday.

As part of the 13th Foreign Office Consultations between India and Greece, a comprehensive review of all aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries was conducted, according to the statement. The two delegations headed by Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Sanjay Verma and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece Haris Lalacos held the consultations in Athens yesterday.

They discussed enhancing cooperation in a number of areas, including trade, defence, culture, people-to-people ties, and consular issues, including mobility.
