Foreign Ministry receives credentials of WHO representative in Yemen

The Dean of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al-Emad, received today the credentials of the new representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Yemen, Arturo Pesigan.

In the meeting, Ambassador Al-Imad welcomed the new representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Yemen. Enhancing cooperation and coordination between Yemen and the organization to serve the Yemeni people.

He stressed that the National Salvation Government, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will provide possible facilities to the new representative of the World Health Organization, despite the fact that the aggression against Yemen has destroyed most of the health sectors.

Ambassador Al-Imad expressed hope that the organization will continue to support the health sector and bridge the gap between the current situation, humanitarian needs, and work on the need to change society’s perception of the organization by working on important priorities and meeting the basic needs of society.

While the representative WHO conveyed the greetings of the Director-General of the Organization and the Regional Director, Ahmed Al-Mandhari, to the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and thanked them for the facilities provided by the Ministry to its representatives.

He pointed out the need for continued support for the success of the organization’s work in Yemen, indicating that he was nominated for this position for the sake of continuity of projects and commitment to health development in Yemen.

Two citizens injured by Saudi enemy fire in Sa’ada

Two citizens were injured today, Saturday, by the bombing of the Saudi enemy army, targeting the border district of Shada in Sa’ada province.

A security official in Sa’ada told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the Saudi enemy targeted populated areas in Shada district, seriously injuring two citizens, who were subsequently transferred to Razeh Hospital for treatment.

He denounced the Saudi enemy’s continued targeting of populated areas and committing crimes against civilians.

Aggression commits 108 violations in Hodeida in 24 hours

The aggression forces committed 108 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Hodeida province over the past 24 hours, an official at the operations room to monitor the violations said on Saturday.

The official in the operations room told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that among the aggression forces violations were two airstikes by spy planes on Maqbana, and the creation of combat fortifications in al- Jabaliya, Hays and Maqbana.

He pointed out that the violations also included three spy planes flew over Hays and Maqbana, 10 artillery shells on Hays, and 90 violations with various gunshots.
