FUJAIRAH, 27th June, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of Eid Al Al Adha, wishing him good health and further development and welfare for the Arab and Islamic nations. Sheikh Hamad also sent Eid greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and the Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates. The Ruler of Fujairah also sent messages of congratulations to heads of state across Arab and Islamic nations, wishing them, and their peoples, good health, progress, and prosperity. H.H. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday exchanged congratulations and greetings with kings and presidents of Arab and Muslim countries, as well as GCC crown princes on the holy occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

In his congratulatory cables, His Highness the Crown Prince expressed sincere wishes for the Arab and Muslim nations to enjoy more security, stability and progress.

Japan and European Union (EU) on Tuesday endorsed the “Japan-EU Digital Trade Principles,” while noting that a high level of cooperation has been achieved between Japan and the EU, which share fundamental values, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.

The online Japan-EU High-level Economic Dialogue was attended by Japan’s Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura, as well as Executive Vice President of the European Commission for an Economy that Works for People, and European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, the ministry said in press release.

In the meeting, Hayashi, Nishimura and Dombrovskis welcomed the progress of comprehensive cooperation between Japan and the EU in the field of economic security, it said.

The three officials also discussed such issues as addressing economic coercion, and building resilient supply chains, including cooperation in the context of the Group of Seven (G-7). They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest between Japan and the EU regarding trade of agricultural products.

Meanwhile, the two sides confirmed that the World Trade Organization (WTO) should continue to be the cornerstone of a rule-based, free and fair trading system, and shared the view to work closely between Japan and the EU toward the success of 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13) next year.
