DEWA honours graduates of the 13th Future Engineer camp

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured the graduates of the 13th ‘Future Engineer’ Winter Camp, which DEWA organised from 12 to 23 December 2022, with the participation of 30 students aged 11 to 14 years, who are children of DEWA employees.

This camp aimed to expand students’ knowledge in cybersecurity, basics of electronic engineering, 3D printing, developing smartphone apps, and using advanced programming languages. The camp activities included a field visit to DEWA’s Innovation Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, where the participants went on a virtual tour across the Solar Park using metaverse technology. It also allowed students to attend innovative shows using drones and hologram technology, try the autonomous bus ride, and explore the latest innovations in clean energy technologies.

Over its past editions, the Future Engineer camp has attracted 374 students who are children of DEWA’s employees. For the 13th edition of the camp, students’ happiness was 99%, while their parents’ happiness was 100%.
