The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 98 Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery units.
“Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops, and artillery of groups of troops (forces) of the Russian Armed Forces defeated 98 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.
Konashenkov added that the Russian air defense systems intercepted 10 HIMARS and Smerch MLRS shells, a Grom-2 missile, and destroyed 14 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Russian (TASS) news agency.
In a statement Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of a depot containing 70,000 tonnes of fuel near the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, The Russian military operation in Ukraine has entered its second year with no real signs of a way out of the conflict as fundamental differences remain, and positions are still far apart.
