RAS AL KHAIMAH, 21st March, 2023 (WAM) — Sheikha Hana bint Juma Al Majid, wife of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has stated that mothers are the source of unconditional love and giving, and the main pillar upon which the family is founded. They prepare a generation that adopts national, religious, human, and cultural values. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, celebrated every year on 21st March, Sheikha Hana congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and all mothers around the world. “The efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak to support the empowerment of mothers and children have contributed to strengthening the status of mothers and women in general in the Arab region and across the world,” said the RAK Ruler’s wife. “This has enabled them to play a significant role in building societies. Sheikha Fatima’s approach follows the foundations established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to empower mothers and develop their skills to perform their duty towards their families and society efficiently and competently.” Sheikha Hana also paid tribute to the mothers of UAE’s martyrs, stating, “I salute you, mothers of martyrs, whose sacrifices show your great attributes and sincere patriotism. Their sacrifices will remain a source of pride from which we derive the spirit of citizenship, pride, and fortitude. Let the UAE flag remain high and the names of the nation’s martyrs engraved in the memory of history.”
