Yemen Mobile denies deducting illegal amounts from its subscribers

Yemen Mobile denied deducting illegal amounts from its subscribers.

The company stated, in a statement, of which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy, that there is a “wide media campaign led by some people through their personal accounts on social media platforms with strange motives, carrying many false accusations supported by false information that the company is deducting illegal amounts from its subscribers.”

The statement confirmed the untrueness of these accusations, stressing that the company is keen on its credibility and reputation in dealing with its subscribers and that it does not make any illegal deduction from the balances of its subscribers at all, whether the basic balances or the balances of the packages.

It pointed out that any subscriber can obtain the detailed bill and review it first to ensure the integrity of the procedures.

The statement pointed out that what is deducted is related to the monthly subscription fee for postpaid subscribers, which is set at 597 riyals only, to be paid by installments on the subscriber’s account according to an approved mechanism throughout the month, in return for obtaining the advantage of reducing the value of calls and messages by 50 percent, which is an approved legal procedure.
