‘Young Leadership Programme in the Third Sector’ enhances role of youth in humanitarian, development work: Sultan Al Neyadi


ABU DHABI: Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, affirmed that the launch of the “Young Leadership Programme in the Third Sector’ stems from the wise leadership vision in the United Arab Emirates aimed at preparing Emirati and Arab youth who are aware, responsible, and capable of actively contributing to the humanitarian and developmental sectors and their development.

The minister clarified that it also includes highlighting the efforts of the UAE and its significant role in the humanitarian and international development work. The Federal Youth Authority, in partnership with the Arab Youth Center, will work to empower youth in this sector to become partners in bringing about development in their countries and the Arab region.

He commended the efforts of the Arab Youth Center, led by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, in empowering youth and building their capacities, especial
ly in the fields of humanitarian and developmental work.

He added that participating youth will have a valuable opportunity to build their capacities, enhance their experiences and acquire the necessary skills to understand and comprehend the various aspects of humanitarian and developmental work, as well as to enhance knowledge in this field. Additionally, they will raise their sense of responsibility towards the world around them, extend a helping hand to those in need in places requiring intervention and assistance, introduce the role of state institutions in humanitarian and developmental work, support their significant efforts, and contribute to accelerating the pace of development in the UAE and the Arab region.
