Al Ameen Service launches phase two of ‘WeGotYourBack’ campaign

DUBAI, Al Ameen Service, in collaboration with Digital Dubai, launched phase two of the “WeGotYourBack” campaign on social media, which will focus on raising the public’s awareness and tracking scams and fraud that use suspicious links.

The campaign is part of Al Ameen Service’s strategic partnership with Digital Dubai aimed at raising awareness about cybercrimes and highlighting recent trends in countering fraud and impersonation in security and social services cases.

It aims to raise the public’s awareness through a range of materials available in several languages, which urge people to not share their passwords including OTP with anyone claiming to be a trusted source, as this provides fraudsters with unwarranted access to WhatsApp accounts, emails, online banking services and other related platforms.

Al Ameen Service also encouraged the public to follow its advice on avoiding frauds and scams, including by watching out for “Dear Client” in the sentence, verifying country codes, and not providing personal information or ID numbers in text messages, as well as using credit cards for better protection against electronic fraud and scams, and always using a company’s official website or contacting customer services.

Emirates Health Services marks World Family Doctor Day with ceremony to honour their pioneering role

DUBAI, Emirates Health Services (EHS) organised a ceremony to mark World Family Doctor Day, celebrating their outstanding efforts to provide care for all members of the family, and educating the public about means to prevent communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The celebration is part of EHS’ efforts and commitment to highlighting the role that family doctors play in driving the development of health services in their communities, and boosting confidence in the sector by providing comprehensive healthcare for all family members, ensuring patients’ positive response to treatment and speed of recovery.

The event screened a video about the role family doctors played during COVID-19 pandemic, to highlight their efforts and honour the “frontline heroes”, graduates of the family medicine residency programme.

EHS also held a panel discussion titled, ”The Future of Family Medicine”, along with an array of interactive activities accompanying the event.

Dr Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, appreciated the efforts of family doctors, noting that Emirates Health Services takes immense pride in them and appreciates the vital role they play in supporting their counterparts, their dedication to fulfilling their duty in times of health crises, and their unwavering efforts to provide the highest standards of medical services to families.

“We are committed to highlighting the importance of family doctors in spearheading progress and transformation in the health sector, encouraging trends towards specialisation, and focusing on family medicine given its role in the growth and prosperity of communities. Global Media Congress 2022 attracts more than 150 international media companies and institutions

Abu Dhabi, Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and Emirates News Agency (WAM) are launching a large-scale international exhibition as a core part of the Global Media Congress on 15-17 November 2022.

There is a significant groundswell of interest building in local, regional, and international markets, as the exhibition offers an unmissable opportunity for brands to showcase products and services vital to supporting growth in the global media and content creation sectors.

The first edition of the event is anticipated to attract a large number of national pavilions, more than 150 exhibiting companies from multiple countries, and more than 8,000 trade visitors and delegates. Emirates secures summer flight schedules

DUBAI, Emirates expects a busy summer and is set to operate as scheduled over the peak travel season, including at its 39 European points with its London Stansted route re-starting from 1st August.

With over 24,000 scheduled passenger flights to and from 129 airports around the world for July and August, Emirates has been co-ordinating with its ground handling partners at airports around the world, ensuring they are up-to-date with operational requirements and are prepared to support smooth passenger movement.

Emirates has also worked closely with other stakeholders at Dubai Airport to support its flight schedule and services, provisioning additional resources to ensure efficient operations at the hub, including for transiting passengers. Those visiting Dubai or doing a summer stopover can ease through departures and arrivals with speedy biometrics-enabled check-points; and utilise various convenient options for mobile, online, home, and self-check in.

Mohammed bin Rashid honours winners of Gender Balance Index

DUBAI, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his satisfaction at gender balance progress in the UAE and its implementation into the work culture, heralding a more prosperous future during a new stage under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He said that President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is one of the most influential advocates of women and their role as a major partner in the country’s development, advancing the approach established by the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the stage of empowerment led by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which witnessed numerous legal amendments and policies supporting gender balance.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid honoured the winners of the 2022 Gender Balance Index for the Federal Government in its fourth edition, which include three categories: ‘Best Figure for Supporting Gender Balance’, ‘Best Federal Entity for Supporting Gender Balance’, and ‘Best Initiative for Supporting Gender Balance’.

His Highness honoured H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), in the ‘Figure for Supporting Gender Balance’ category, with H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, receiving the Gender Balance medal on behalf of Her Highness.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also honoured the Ministry of Culture and Youth for the ‘Best Federal Entity for Supporting Gender Balance’ category (on the ministries level), and Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, received the UAE Gender Balance Seal from His Highness.

His Highness honoured the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports for the ‘Federal Entity Supporting Gender Balance’ category (at the level of entities), and Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the entity, received the UAE Gender Balance Seal from his Highness.

His Highness also honoured the Ministry of Community Development in the ‘Best Initiative for Supporting Gender Balance’ category for the “Al Sana’a” initiative, and Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, received the Honourary Seal from His Highness.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, praising Her Highness’ support and care for women socially, educationally and professionally, which laid a strong foundation for advancing the gender balance agenda in government, stressing that Her Highness’ efforts to empower women are recognised globally.

His Highness also congratulated the Ministry of Culture and Youth, the Ministry of Community Development, and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports, praising their efforts in achieving impressive milestones that led to this recognition and their effective contributions in providing a work environment that supports gender balance and enhances the UAE’s global competitiveness.

His Highness expressed his pride in the successes of Emirati women in various sectors and their positive impact on the development process over the past fifty years and their role in its ambitious visions to become the best country in the world across all fields.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid praised the efforts of H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, President of Dubai Women Establishment, and wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, in embedding a gender balance culture into institutional work through impactful initiatives, which includes the implementation of the Gender Balance Index.

For her part, H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, praised the support provided by the wise leadership and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak to women in the UAE and their constant motivation, stressing that it represents an incentive to continue the journey towards more successes both at home and abroad. This journey will include new initiatives that the Council intends to launch in the next phase, as part of its strategic plan 2022-2026 approved by the UAE Cabinet in March under the chairmanship of His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aims to progress the UAE’s leadership and global influence in this field.

Her Highness Sheikha Manal extended her congratulations and blessings to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak for receiving the award for the ‘Best Figure for Supporting Gender Balance’, praising Her Highness’ efforts and continuous support for women over the past fifty years, which led to progress in the field and equal opportunities in the UAE, as reflected in the country’s advanced position in global indicators.

Her Highness also congratulated the winners of the fourth edition of the Index, praising their efforts and initiatives that contributed to achieving national goals and the UAE Gender Balance Council’s strategy aimed at reducing the gender gap in various sectors of the country, calling on both the public and private sectors to continue to enhance the gender supportive work environment and make new leaps in this field.

The first category is granted to figures who support gender balance and have played an influential role in achieving gender balance and offering equal opportunities to men and women, positively contributing to the UAE’s gender balance profile and global competitiveness reports in the region and worldwide.

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak was chosen for this category, in light of her efforts and influential role in supporting women over the past fifty years, especially in closing the education gap and enabling the UAE to rank first worldwide in that respect, as well as the role of Her Highness in the economic empowerment of Emirati women.

The second category is allocated to the best federal government entity that supports gender balance, and the evaluation of this category is linked to the government’s national indicators, which are based on three pillars: decision-making, education and experience, and the work environment to become a more attractive environment characterised by flexible working hours, work from home, nurseries in the workplace, and other initiatives, legislation and policies.

The Ministry of Culture and Youth (at the level of ministries) and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports (at the entities level) won the award in this category, and were awarded the Seal based on the results of the surveys and the practical steps and actions taken by each in this field.

The third category, dedicated to the best initiative supporting gender balance, is awarded to best practices, projects, policies and legislation supporting gender balance. The Ministry of Community Development won the Best Initiative award, for the ”Al-Sana’a initiative”, a development project that supports productive Emirati families and the people of determination, enabling them to achieve economic and social stability through innovative technical and marketing programmes to establish micro-enterprises.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office and Vice President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, said that the activities of the entities participating in the Gender Balance Index at the federal government level were evaluated according to the measurement framework and approved standards and designed based on best international practices, noting that the Index aims to enhance the status of women and their participation in various developmental work streams and encourages coordination between government institutions to reach the desired goals in gender balance.

She added that Index is one of the initiatives that the UAE Gender Balance Council has worked on, in cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Office, to consolidate the concept of gender balance and embed it into institutional work, as this national indicator represented an important incentive for both public and private sectors to implement supportive policies and initiatives.

Emirates Health Services facilities to remain operational throughout Eid Al Adha holidays

DUBAI, Emirates Health Services (EHS) has announced that emergency rooms across all of its hospitals, as well as all primacy care centres under its umbrella, will remain operational throughout the Eid Al Adha holidays from 8th to 11th July.

Teams across the facilities will carry on working in shifts, as usual, with medical and nursing staff at primary care centres in the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain working at full capacity throughout the holiday, along with the centres in Khorfakkan, Al Dhaid, Dibba Al Hisn, and Kalba.

Dr. Essam Mohammed Al Zarouni, Chief Executive Officer for Clinical Services Sector at EHS, praised the medical team’s tremendous efforts, the initiative they took to work during the Eid Al Adha holiday, and their commitment to providing the highest standards of health services, which are a key pillar in protecting the lives and health of individuals and ensuring the safety of the community.

“Emirates Health Services prioritises answering patients and customers’ every need, in line with our commitment to provide uninterrupted medical services for individuals at all times, occasions, and official holidays,” he said.

Centres that will remain operational include Al Muhaisnah and Al Awir Health Centres in Dubai, while in Sharjah, the list consists of Wasit Centre, Family Health Promotion Centre, and Al Qarain Health Centre (COVID Assessment Centre), along with Al Dhaid, Al Lu’lu’iyah, and Dibba Al Hessan centres, Kalba Health Centre (COVID Assessment Centre), and finally, Helwan and Al Madam Health Centres.

In Ajman, the Mushairef, Manama, and Muzairea Health Centres, will remain operational, along with Health City. Meanwhile, in Umm Al Quwain, the list includes the Al Khazan, Falaj Al Mualla, Al Salama, and Al Rafa health centres, whereas in Ras Al Khaimah, the Ras Al Khaimah, Al Maarid, Al Jazira, Al Rams, Kadra, Saif Bin Ali, and Al Manai health centres will remain operational. Finally, in Fujairah, Al Madinah Health Centres, Qidfa, Dhadna, and Al Khaliliah Health Centres will remain operational.

Working hours and shifts for all hospitals and primary care centres under the Emirates Health Services umbrella can be found on the EHS website and social media platforms.
