Emirates Health Services obtains Emirates Board institutional accreditation

DUBAI, Emirates Health Services (EHS) received the “Emirates Board” institutional accreditation certificate from the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS).

NIHS is the national institute responsible for regulating and spearheading the development of the healthcare workforce in the UAE. The official accreditation to EHS was received after fulfilling all the requirements of the Emirati Board.

Dr. Mohammed Al Houqani, Secretary-General of NIHS, presented a workshop on the Emirati Board programme and its standards to the EHS programme directors and training professionals to prepare and develop highly-qualified health professionals capable of supporting the health system and promoting health and quality of life in the country.

Dr. Youssef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, expressed his delight at this new achievement, underscoring EHS’s commitment to providing quality and efficient medical education programmes, aligned with the vision and strategic objectives outlined by providing the healthcare sector in the UAE with an elite group of qualified, highly skilled and competent doctors according to the highest international standards.

He added that the EHS is determined to move forward in the path of reaping achievements based on the competencies that it abounds in, as well as its aim of strengthening its position as one of the best global health authorities, in line with the leadership vision by implementation of the national strategy for the next fifty.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, commended the achievement stating that EHS seeks to strengthen the national health system by providing the best educational practices, according to the highest standards, by providing the health workforce opportunities to receive high-level institutional accreditation.

Dr. Kalthoom Al Blooshi, Chief Innovation Officer, Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, expressed her pleasure at receiving the Emirates Board accreditation. She praised the efforts of the administrative staff and highlighted that this achievement enhances the status of the EHS and raises the pace and efficiency of work, adding that this achievement leads to more effort by the EHS team to maintain their gains and achieve more in the future, in line with the strategy and plans towards providing a health system that applies best international practices.

Emaar Development reports AED7.2 billion in H1 revenues

DUBAI, Emaar Development achieved its highest property sales during the first half (January to June) of 2022, underpinned by recent successful launches creating value for the future.

Property sales for H1 2022 is increased by 10 percent to AED15.216 billion (US$4.143 billion) compared to AED13.825 billion (US$3.764 billion) in H1 2021.

During first half of 2022, the build-to-sell property development business majority-owned by Emaar Properties launched 15 projects in various master plans.

In the first six months of 2022, Emaar Development reported EBITDA of AED2.564 billion (US$698 million), an increase of 15 percent compared to the first six months of 2021 and revenue of AED7.282 billion (US$1.983 billion).

Due to this exceptional performance, Emaar now has a robust sales backlog of AED32.753 billion (US$8.917 billion), which will be recognised as future revenue for the business.

“Our unwavering determination to deliver premium projects to the market, cashflow generation, and a strong pipeline of future projects have underlined our highest ever quarterly sales during Q2 2022. Our point of difference is our strategy of delivering integrated communities, providing amenities across retail, hospitality, and entertainment to further complement our premier residential assets. We are continuing to see investor demand for holistic master-planned developments, which has enabled us to achieve our strongest first-half growth on record in 2022,” an Emaar spokesperson said.

Emaar Development has delivered over 3,100 residential units during first half of 2022 across prime locations, including Dubai Hills Estate, Dubai Creek Harbour, Downtown Dubai, Emaar Beachfront, Arabian Ranches and Emaar South. As of June 2022, Emaar has delivered more than 55,100 residential units, with over 26,100 residences currently under development in the UAE.
