MoHAP continues to raise awareness about importance of early breast cancer detection

DUBAI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it is still running its nationwide breast cancer awareness campaign in association with Pink Caravan under the slogan “Screen and Reassure Us”.

The ministry posted a video on its social media platform highlighting the efforts of medical personnel screening women at the University of Sharjah, Sharjah Mega Mall, Ajman City Center, City Walk Dubai, and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Sharjah. Positive cases are referred to the appropriate health authorities for treatment.

Through the campaign, the ministry looks forward to raising public awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and prevention methods.

The campaign was launched in conjunction with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is observed in October of every year according to the agenda of the World Health Organisation.

DEWA organises 15 virtual sessions as part of I-Talk series until July 2022

DUBAI, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised 15 virtual awareness sessions within the ‘I-Talk’ series from the beginning of this year until the end of July 2022.

This is part of its efforts to promote a culture of innovation and knowledge exchange and encourage effective teamwork.

Experts in various fields of innovation participated in the sessions. The sessions aimed to raise the level of awareness of DEWA’s employees about future issues, encourage them to innovate, reshape traditional work concepts and find innovative solutions to current and upcoming challenges.

The sessions covered various topics, including disruptive technologies, digital manufacturing, different business development models, robotic process automation, smart foresight culture, decision-making, and data analysis using GIS.

Dubai Police Academy, Executive Office of AML/CFT discuss enhancing cooperation

DUBAI, The Dubai Police Academy recently received a delegation from the Executive Office of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) to discuss enhancing cooperation.

The delegation, headed by Muhammad Jawad Shaloh, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communication Department in the Executive Office, was welcomed by Dr. Mohammad Butti Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Dubai Police Academy, within the framework of sharing knowledge and experience between both sides.

During the meeting, Al Shamsi discussed potential cooperation to support them with the Executive Office awareness campaigns on the threats and dangers of money-laundering and financing of terrorism by issuing academic research and studies, qualifying cadres to combat the crimes, offering educational programmes and organising workshops and seminars between the two parties.

The delegation expressed their gratitude to Dubai Police for the reception and arranged further meetings to execute the agreed topics.
