America and Britain role in obstructing peace in Yemen

The US-British peace calls to achieve peace in Yemen are a temporary tactic for a long-term US-British strategy, aimed at prolonging the war, deepening divisions in the country, and creating new hotbeds of tension and conflict.

These things are like colonial behavior that these two countries have been practicing for a long time, which enabled them to occupy and plunder the wealth of many countries of the world and on its different continents.

The assurances of American and British officials of their keenness to achieve peace in Yemen is tantamount to throwing ashes over the eyes.

When peace indicators began to loom on the horizon thanks to the efforts of the Omani endeavors that began in March 2022, the American and British moves were active to thwart them and prevent reaching a realistic settlement acceptable to both parties.

That is evident from the suspicious movements of the US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, who sought to obstruct any peace agreements.

On the American track, Britain is pursuing the same dirty and suspicious methods in obstructing peace efforts in Yemen, and among those positions are the statements of British Ambassador Richard Oppenheim in February 2023, in which he affirmed his country’s support for economic escalation and the mercenary government’s decision to raise the price of the customs dollar, and this matter is tantamount to a crime that London is playing to double the suffering Yemenis.

Those who follow the course of the war in Yemen notice the continuation of the British-American arms deals to the countries of the region and the military flow of these two countries to Al-Mahra and Hadhramaut provinces and the building of military bases off the coast and in the Yemeni islands and Bab al-Mandab.

The certain thing is that America and Britain cannot be trusted with anything, as they are two countries that, throughout their careers, have sowed evil and stirred up strife among the peoples of the earth as a whole.
