Marib Executive Director discusses efforts to enhance mobilization and public mobilization to support Al-Aqsa


A meeting of the Executive Office in Marib Governorate, headed by Governor Ali Taaiman, discussed on Sunday efforts to enhance mobilization and public mobilization to support Al-Aqsa Al-Sharif.

The meeting, which included the governorate’s general mobilization official, Ali Al-Hamzi, and the governorate’s security director, Brigadier General Abdullah Rahma, touched on the programs that require activation within the framework of general mobilization and the national campaign to support Al-Aqsa, and the escalation of positions of solidarity and victory for the Palestinian cause in parallel with the courageous operations taken by the revolutionary leadership and the armed forces against the usurper enemy entity.

In the meeting, Governor Taaiman stressed the importance of sensing the requirements of the stage and redoubling efforts, each in his position and specialty, to support mobilization and mobilization efforts, organizing marches, donation campaigns, and support for the Palestinian resistance, and being
prepared to implement any options taken by the leadership of the revolution in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

King departs on official visit to Rwanda

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday departed on an official visit to Rwanda, where he will meet with Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

The visit will cover bilateral ties and means of expanding cooperation across various sectors, in addition to developments in the region and the dangerous situation in Gaza.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.

Mohammed bin Rashid meets with participants of ‘Camel Trek’

DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with participants of the annual ‘Camel Trek’ at the Seih Al Salam area of Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve in Dubai.

The camel trekkers were heading to the Heritage Village in Global Village after embarking on a continuous 12-day journey through the UAE desert, starting from the Arada area in Abu Dhabi and concluding in Dubai.

The 10th edition of the annual event was organised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre.

His Highness was briefed on the progress of the journey, led by Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center. The expedition comprised 37 participants representing 16 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Yemen, India, China, Australia, Mexico, Russia, Belarus and the UAE.

The participants journeyed a total distance of 557 km, commencing their trek from Ar
ada and traversing diverse locations across the UAE desert before concluding at the Heritage Village in Global Village.

Bin Dalmook said that the launch of the event was inspired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision and directives to promote tolerance, understanding and coexistence.

‘The meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the participants in the 10th edition of ‘Camel Trek’ underscores the commitment to upholding authentic values and principles, preserving the Emirati heritage and promoting the principles of tolerance, understanding and coexistence that define our nation,’ he said.

Some 158k underpriviliged households received in-kind, cash aid in 2023-Report

Amman: A total of about 158,263 Jordanian families benefited from of the Ministry of Social Development’s in-kind and cash assistance during the past year.

According to a ministry’s report sent to “Petra’ on Sunday, a total of number of 2,487 poor households benefited from emergency aid with a total value of JD266,708, while 94,300 families benefited from Royal initiatives at a total value of JD8,618,500.

Moreover, 49,571 families benefited from the purchasing vouchers with a total value of JD147,130, while 11,905 households received aid from foreign organizations, associations and donors, the report showed.

During the past year, 30 e-services were launched to license a nursery for the first time, renew an annual nursery license, register a local association and branches of foreign associations, and other online transactions to serve Jordan’s social development sector.

The report noted work is underway to digitize the ministry’s services within Services Development Project, in cooperation with the Ministr
y of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

A total of 57 e-services will be launched during the coming period, the report said, adding that future steps aim to establish a central camera control room as a supervisory tool to protect beneficiaries, launch an e-platform for financing and lending for small productive projects and businesses, and create a unified e-platform for cash and in-kind assistance.
