JMD expects warm weather in highlands, relatively hot in other regions throughout week


Amman: Temperatures on Monday are predicted to exceed the seasonal average by approximately 4-5 degrees Celsius. The weather will be warm in the highlands and relatively hot to hot in other regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in it’s daily update.

Clouds are forecast to appear at medium and high altitudes, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to activate at times.

Over the next three days, similar weather conditions will persist, with northwest moderate winds occasionally becoming active.

Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures in eastern Amman range between 19-33 degrees Celsius, in western Amman 17-31C, in the northern highlands 15-28C, in the Sharah highlands 14-29C, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 25-42 degrees Celsius.

Israeli Occupation Continues Closing Rafah, Karem Abu Salem crossings

Israeli occupation forces continue to close Rafah and Karem Abu Salem crossings in the southern Gaza Strip for the 14th day, aggravating the humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged Strip.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said that the occupation forces prevented during the closure the entry of more than 3000 aid trucks into Gaza Strip, and the travel of 700 patients for treatment outside the besieged Strip.

The World Food Programme (WFP) confirmed on Sunday the need for a safe and sustainable delivery of aid to prevent famine in the northern Gaza Strip, but Israeli evacuation orders prevent that.

The Rafah crossing is the main land crossing for the entry of aid and the exit of injured and patients for treatment outside the Gaza Strip.

Day 227 of Genocide: Dozens of Civilians Martyred, others Injured in Ongoing Israeli Bombardment of Gaza

For the 227th day in a row, the Israeli occupation forces continue to bomb several areas in the Gaza Strip, killing dozens and wounding others.

The Israeli occupation warplanes launched at least two raids on Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The occupation warplanes carried out a raid on a house in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Three citizens were killed, and others were injured, when occupation aircraft bombed a house in Sheikh Al-Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

WAFA News Agency reported that occupation artillery bombed the eastern areas of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, coinciding with Apache warplanes firing at Jabalia camp in the north.

Six citizens were killed as a result of the occupation targeting a residential apartment in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

5.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Xinjiang Northwest China

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Monday Atux city in Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

China’s News Agency quoted the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) as saying the quake struck at a depth of 19 km.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.

On April 13, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the Rutog County in Ali Prefecture, southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region without causing human or material losses.

China usually suffers from earthquakes and strong tremors, especially in the mountainous areas in the west of the country.
