Al-Azhar remains the standard-bearer of education, academia, and moderate values: Muslim Council of Elders

ABU DHABI, The Muslim Council of Elders extended its congratulations to His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Council for the anniversary of the founding of Al-Azhar Mosque 1083 years ago.

The Council affirmed that Al-Azhar continues to be the standard-bearer of education, academia, and moderate values in the Islamic World. Likewise, Al-Azhar has throughout its history produced millions of scholars and academics who have gone on to teach religion, Arabic language and values of coexistence around the world.

The Council also praised the role of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb in growing the organisation and helping it retain its rightful international place as a source of moderate religious values while countering extremist rhetoric and correcting misconceptions. This goes with its continued efforts in spreading dialogue, tolerance, coexistence, peace and human fraternity around the world.

BREAKING: In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Zayed issues an Emiri decree restructuring Abu Dhabi Executive Council under chairmanship of Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed

ABU DHABI,  His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued an Emiri decree restructuring the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

The decree stipulates the appointment of the following as members of the council: Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office /Strategic Affairs Council, Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs AuthorityStrategic Affairs Council, Jassim Mohammed Buatabh Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of FinanceStrategic Affairs Council, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development, Eng. Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, Mohammad Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Major General Fares Khalaf Al Mazroui, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Sara Musallam, Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health  Abu Dhabi, and Ahmed Tamim Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Support.

Mohammed bin Rashid receives Ramadan well-wishers from Emirati tribes

DUBAI, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received dignitaries from Emirati tribes who came to offer their Ramadan greetings to him.

The reception was held at the Za’abeel Palace in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and a number of sheikhs and dignitaries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid exchanged Ramadan greetings with his guests and hosted an Iftar banquet for them.

ABU DHABI, In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has issued two Emiri decrees appointing Hazza bin Zayed as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Tahnoun bin Zayed as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

Mansour bin Zayed chairs Ministerial Development Council meeting

ABU DHABI, Chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, the Ministerial Development Council held its meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, addressing a number of policies and legislations to further advance the government work ecosystem.

The meeting discussed initiatives and policies aimed at developing the UAE’s export sector and government housing projects, in addition to federal legislations related to the health sector.

The meeting also discussed the issuance of Cabinet decisions on the organisation of the advocacy and legal consultancy sector, and consumer protection affairs.

The Council reviewed a number of government reports for the year 2022 regarding the development of UAE exports, the work of the Medical Liability Supreme Committee, and developments in foreign direct investment (FDI), in addition to an update on the implementing of the national agenda for outward FDI.
