Palestinian singer Dalal Abu Amna has snubbed an invited to the Dubai Expo 2020 over the United Arab Emirates’ ties with Israel. The singer, who says she declined many other official invitations to perform in the UAE, refused to perform at the six-month long world fair due to the country’s “persistence in ignoring the feelings and rights of the Palestinian people”, as per a statement on her verified Facebook page. Israeli President Isaac Herzog travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday in the first-ever Israeli presidential visit to the Gulf state. Herzog is accompanied by his wife Michal on the two-day trip.
