Iraqi Minister of Defense Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al Abbasi discussed on Tuesday with his Italian counterpart, Guido Crosetto the joint military cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop future relations between the two countries within the framework of joint cooperation.
In turn, the Iraqi Minister of Defense appreciated Italy’s efforts during its participation in the international coalition in the war against ISIS. He also praised the role of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and its support for his country through the training and development courses that were held for the cadres of the Ministry of Defense inside and outside Iraq.
The Italian Minister of Defense and his accompanying delegation arrived earlier today in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
