Norwegian Film Days kicks off in Amman

The first Norwegian Film Days, organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC), in cooperation with Norwegian Embassy in Jordan, kicked off with screening the feature adventure drama “Kon-Tiki,” directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg,on Sunday evening on the RFC’s outdoor theater screen. At the opening ceremony, which was attended by Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, Espin Lindback, RFC’s media director, Nada Domani, said this is the first time ever that Norwegian Film Days are screened within the commission’s shows, expressing hope for continued joint cooperation with the embassy to organize these shows. For his part, Norwegian ambassador said: ” It is such a pleasure to welcome you all here tonight to the first ever Norwegian Film Days- in collaboration with RFC.” “I am happy to kick off Film Days with the Oscar-nominated feature film ” Kon Tiki” .Tomorrow we will screen “Welcome to Norway” and on Tuesday we will watch ” Amundsen,” the envoy added. The envoy said: “Each film strives to tell an integral part of Norwegian history, culture and society.”
