Paris, The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) held a seminar on Riyadh Expo 2030, under the title “A Different Tomorrow”, one in a series of such events it has been holding in Paris.

Participants in the seminar included Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at KAUST Bernard Ghanem, first Saudi Astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi, and expert at RCRCSA Carlos GrauLara.

Alswaha said Riyadh is an ideal model in international consensus building, seizing opportunities, and finding comprehensive and sustainable technological and innovative solutions to global issues.

He underscored the importance of international cooperation to achieve technical and economic progress, and to pave the way for finding solutions to the world’s most pressing issues concerning sustainable development, climate action and inclusive growth, stressing that Riyadh Expo 2030 is the ideal platform to achieve that.

Barnawi said: “My mission is to inspire the next generation to become scientists, initiators and innovators in the future for a different tomorrow, which meets the Riyadh Expo 2030 goal. We will work to transform the expo into a global platform that contributes to creating sustainable opportunities for a better and different tomorrow.”

According to Ghanem, “we are a catalyst for innovation, economic development, and societal prosperity in the Kingdom and the world, which will reflect positively on Riyadh Expo 2030”.

He added that Riyadh has all the capabilities and qualifications necessary to make a major transformation, inspired by Saudi Vision 2030, which is fully aligned with the sustainable development goals.

The series of seminars held by RCRCSA in Paris aims to discuss the most important objectives of Riyadh Expo 2030, and introduce countries to its main theme, “Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow”, and several sub-themes, as well as gather insights, opinions and input from delegates and experts on these themes.
