Shakhboot bin Nahyan meets President of Guinea-Bissau

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with Umaro Sissoco Embaló, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

 

During the meeting, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan conveyed to President Embaló the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their sincere wishes to the President and people of Guinea-Bissau for further development and prosperity.

 

In turn, the President of Guinea-Bissau reciprocated these wishes to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wishing the UAE Government and people further growth and development.

 

President Embaló praised the strong relations between the two countries and cooperation at all levels, highlighting the many opportunities that exist to enhance ties in various fields.

 

For his part, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan congratulated President Embaló on his assumption of the presidency of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), wishing him success during his presidency and in efforts to achieve regional interests. He also stressed that UAE-Guinea-Bissau relations continue to grow, pointing out that there are many opportunities for advancement.

 

The two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields and a number of regional files of common interest.

 

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan also met with Suzi Carla Barbosa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, during which they discussed the distinguished relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
