Director General of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, Sam Al-Bashiri, confirmed the authority’s keenness to participate in consumer exhibitions with the aim of promoting the culture of standardization and raising awareness of various issues that concern the health and safety of society.
Al-Bashiri explained, during his visit today,Tuesday, to the authority’s pavilion at the consumer exhibition in Sana’a, that the authority is implementing activities and programs to educate consumers, producers, and importers about the importance of applying approved standard specifications, providing technical support service, and introducing its role in serving society.
He pointed to the authority’s efforts to provide health protection and safety for consumers through preparing and applying approved standard specifications for all goods and products, whether manufactured locally or imported.
He stressed the Authority’s readiness to provide all forms of technical support to the privat
e and commercial sectors, facilitate , simplify procedures related to the inspection of goods, implement awareness , training programs for merchants, manufacturers, and importers.
