Scientific Conference of Internal Medicine in Ibb

The proceedings of the Second Scientific Conference on Internal Diseases were concluded in Ibb governorate, which lasted for two days.

With the participation of 600 consultants in various specialties, especially internal medicine and cardiology, from various governorates, the conference discussed a number of working papers on internal diseases.

President Al-Mashat discusses with Marib sheikhs development performance level in province

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today, Saturday, the sheikhs of Marib province.

During the meeting, the level of development performance in Marib was discussed, in particular the issue of opening roads.

In the meeting, the President confirmed that the Supreme Political Council was the first to call and direct the opening of roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens, but the mercenaries delayed and evaded implementation.

President Al-Mashat directed the military authorities and the local authority to begin the necessary arrangements to open the Sana’a-Serwah-Marib road, and Al-Bayda-Murad-Marib road.

The sheikhs of Marib province blessed the victories achieved by the Yemeni armed forces in preventing ships linked to the Zionist entity from passing through the Red , Arab Seas and the Indian Ocean.

They affirmed their high readiness to implement any options taken by the revolution leader to support the Palestinians , as well as their readiness to
fight the battle of ‘the promised conquest , holy jihad’ and to confront the American-British aggression.

SHARJAH: The Sharjah Press Club, operating under the umbrella of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, unveiled the agenda of the 13th edition of the annual Sharjah Ramadan Majlis, which will be held, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, from March 18 to 21, at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah, featuring leading speakers and experts in four sessions tackling vital topics in religion, sports, art and entrepreneurship.

Sport session

The first session, titled ‘Football Skills: Establishment and Development,’ to be held on Monday, March 18, will be headlined by international football star Luka Modric, the midfielder of the Spanish club Real Madrid and the Croatian national team, who won the FIFA World Player of the Year award. The session will be moderated by journalist Ahmed Sultan.

The session discusses the conditions and constants necessary to develop indigenous football talent and achieve competitiveness, and how pl
ayers maintain their professional levels for the longest possible period. The session will also discuss ways of building rising generations in football that keep pace with modern football that critically depends on both fitness and skills.

Religious session

The Ramadan Majlis will feature a religious lecture on Tuesday, March 19, titled, ‘Religious Transaction,’ presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif from Cairo, on good morals and the tolerant teachings and etiquette of Islam, which demands moral conduct and actions and honesty between human beings, guided by the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. As the Prophet stressed, ‘I was sent to perfect good morals,’ which emphasises the place of good conduct and morals in the Islamic faith.

Entrepreneurship session

The third session dedicated to entrepreneurship, on Wednesday, March 20, will host HE Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Executive Director of the Sharjah Foreign Direct I
nvestment Office ‘Invest in Sharjah’, Fadi Ghandour, founder of Aramex and Chairman of Wamda, and Nawal Al Nuaimi, Emirati entrepreneur, inventor of the hot chocolate recipe with an Emirati flavour.

The session, moderated by journalist Dr. Abdussalam Al Hammadi, will discuss the attractive investment environment that the Emirate of Sharjah provides to entrepreneurs and support business growth.

The session will address the factors necessary for achieving success in entrepreneurship and creating innovative ideas, and the important foundations that can help achieve continuity and development. The session also present various models of pioneering economic projects.

Arts Session

The Sharjah Press Club wraps up its 13th Ramadan Majlis edition with the session ‘Art and Life… How cinema affects people’s lives’ featuring artist Ahmed Al Sakka and actor Kosai Khauli who discuss the impact of drama and cinema on people’s lives, especially with the emergence of concepts such as cinema therapy.

The session tackles
the impact of films and drama and their artistic message and role in building positive values and beliefs in society. The media session will be moderated by Reem Seif.

The 13th Sharjah Ramadan Majlis sessions will feature a number of interactive activities and contests.

Over the years, the Sharjah Press Club has hosted leading speakers, experts and stars as part of its Ramadan Majlis sessions, tackling pressing issues, trends and societal concerns in order to promote awareness through meaningful dialogue and discussions.

Mothers’ Endowment campaign issues 120,000 participation certificates through website in 4 days


DUBAI: The Mothers’ Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to honor mothers by establishing a AED 1 billion endowment fund supporting the education of millions around the world, is seeing a community-wide response as donations started pouring in through the various donating channels.

Only 4 days after its launch, the campaign has issued more than 120,000 electronic participation certificates to contributors, who made their donations in honor and gratitude of their mothers.

The campaign offers a participation certificate, written beautifully to express love and gratitude, that can be gifted to mothers in whose name the donations were made. All contributions count as ongoing charities that will go towards establishing an endowment fund that supports education in underprivileged communities, helping millions improve their lives.

The great response to the campaign highlights the Emirati community’s est
ablished culture of giving and generosity, and reflects the successful use of innovative ideas and diversified contribution channels to facilitate participation and maximize impact.

Kindness and compassion

Organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the campaign allows contributors to make donations in their mothers’ names to honor them, highlighting the role of mothers in supporting their children’s education. The campaign also establishes the values of honoring parents, kindness, compassion and solidarity, while solidifying the UAE’s humanitarian role, while reviving the culture of endowments as a development tool that ensures sustainable charity and supports global efforts of sustainable development.

Donation channels

Since its launch which coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, the Mothers’ Endowment campaign welcomes donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across six main channels including the campaign’s website (Mothersfund.ae),
as well as a dedicated call center via the toll-free number (800 9999). Donations are also possible via bank transfers in the UAE dirham to the campaign bank account number with Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201). Donations via SMS are possible by sending the word ‘Mother’ to the following numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038) for Etisalat by e and users. Other possible platforms for donating to the campaign are the DubaiNow app by clicking the ‘Donations’ tab, and Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).
