Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the daily crimes and organized terrorism perpetrated by extremist settler gangs under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. These acts of violence include indiscriminate shooting at innocent Palestinian civilians, destruction of property, arson of homes and vehicles, and torching of agricultural lands in several villages in the West Bank. These attacks have also caused numerous deaths and injuries among civilians and are a continuation of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in open violation of international humanitarian law.

The organization is holding the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for the ongoing crimes and aggressions against the Palestinian people. It has urged the international community, especially the United Nations (UN) Security Council, to ensure the provision of international protection for the Palestinians.

The OIC has also called for an immediate and comprehensive end to the con
tinuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the holy city of Jerusalem. Additionally, it demands that the Israeli occupation be held accountable for all the crimes it has committed against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.

Gaza: Palestinian sources reported 43 fatalities and 62 injuries in four separate massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation forces across the Gaza Strip within a single day.

As per a statement released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza on Sunday, the toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7 has reached 33,729 deaths and 76,371 injuries.

The Ministry highlighted the challenge of reaching some victims, who remain trapped under rubble or on unreachable roads.

Amman: Royal Jordanian (RJ) has adjusted its flight operations in response to the temporary halt in civil aviation traffic.

Samer Majali, CEO of RJ, informed the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that RJ has promptly reprogrammed departing and arriving flights to and from Jordan. Majali emphasized that efforts have been made to restore the departure flight schedule to Europe for both morning and afternoon periods.

Furthermore, Majali assured passengers that flights that were unable to reach the Kingdom during the cessation of air traffic would be rescheduled to return to Amman. He urged citizens to promptly reach out to the airline to confirm the dates of their reservations and ensure smooth travel arrangements.

Amman: Airlines have resumed their operations to and from the Queen Alia International Airport following the reopening of airspace that was temporarily closed.

Haitham Misto, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), announced in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Sunday that the airspace across the Kingdom is now unrestricted for all civil flights, including those passing through, arriving, and departing from all of Jordan’s airports.

Misto urged citizens to liaise directly with their respective airline companies to ascertain any rescheduling of flights and to confirm their travel arrangements promptly.

The decision to close Jordanian airspace on a temporary and precautionary basis was made yesterday evening by the CARC at 20:00 UTC (11:00 pm local time) and was lifted precisely at 8:15 am.

The closure aimed to safeguard the safety and security of civil aviation within Jordanian airspace amidst escalating regional tensions. The airspace was reopened after a thorough asses
sment of risks, adhering to internationally recognized standards for civil aviation safety.

Amman: The Jordanian government has appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and handle regional tensions with discipline and responsibility, avoiding any actions that could lead to dangerous escalation.

In a session Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, the Cabinet emphasized the importance of de-escalation and urged all parties to act responsibly, demonstrating utmost self-restraint. It also underscored the seriousness of addressing the risks of regional escalation and its significant repercussions on international peace and security.

The Cabinet stressed the necessity for media outlets to ensure accuracy in sourcing information from authorized official sources, cautioning against the spread of rumors or misleading news that could fuel anxiety and fear.

Furthermore, the Council of Ministers affirmed its commitment to addressing the situation firmly and through legal means.

The Cabinet assured the public that the Kingdom is functioning normally, with public services, education, and heal
thcare facilities operating smoothly.

It reiterated support for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, in safeguarding the nation’s security, citizens, airspace, and territory from any threats.

Regarding recent incidents, the Cabinet reported the interception of foreign objects in Jordanian airspace to protect citizens and residential areas. While some fragments fell in various locations, no significant damage or injuries were reported.

The only action taken by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commisssion (CARC) last night was the temporary closure of Jordanian airspace to incoming, departing, and transiting flights as a precautionary measure, in accordance with international standards for civil aviation security and safety.

The CARC is continuously evaluating the situation and providing updates to airlines and passengers in compliance with established civil aviation safety protocols.
