KSrelief Launches Cardiac Surgery and Catheterization Voluntary Medical Project in Yemen


Aden, Yemen, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched the voluntary medical project for cardiac surgery and catheterization for children and adults yesterday at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden Governorate. The project will run until May 15, and 23 volunteers from various specialities will participate in it in cooperation with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).

Since the start of the project, the medical team has performed 35 cardiac catheterizations and eight open-heart surgeries, all of which were successful.

The project extends the voluntary medical projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people due to their humanitarian crisis.
