KSrelief Launches the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to Combat Blindness in Hadramaut, Yemen

Hadramaut, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) inaugurated the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it in the Mukalla District of Yemen’s Hadramaut Governorate, which will take place May 4 to 30, with the participation of eight volunteers from various medical specialties.

Since the beginning of the campaign, the KSrelief team has successfully performed 12 surgeries to remove glaucoma, 97 surgeries to remove cataracts, three eye-socket surgeries, and 17 minor surgeries.

The Noor program is an extension of the volunteer medical programs provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to help patients and people with eye diseases in low-income countries.
