Abu Dhabi City Municipality organises running race in city of Riyadh – Abu Dhabi

RIYADH: The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council through the Sub-Municipal Operations Sector – Al Wathba Municipality Centre, organised a running race in the city of Riyadh.

This event comes within the framework of the municipality’s keenness to support sports activities and motivate community members to practice various types of sports, to enable their physical fitness, enhance their general health, and make sports a way of life and an approach followed in the daily practices of community members, because sports have positive benefits on health.

The race – which was organised on Al-Buruq Street in Riyadh – attracted large numbers of community members of all ages, and the race formed a beautiful family gathering full of competition, challenge and determination to reach the finish line.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality was keen to adapt the race to the different physical abilities of the contestants and their ages as well, as the race was divided into three levels.
The first level has a length of 5 kilometres, the second level is 3 kilometres, and the third level is one kilometre long.

At the conclusion of the race, the participants and winners were honoured, as the participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and its keenness to organise events that would improve their quality of life and happiness.

Public Prosecution in Taiz releases 380 prisoners


The Public Prosecution in Taiz Governorate released 380 prisoners, on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Chief Prosecutor of Taiz Governorate explained to (Saba) the release process comes in implementation of the Public Prosecutor’s directives to go on the ground to prisons, speed up the completion of cases, and grant prisoners the right to conditional release.

Trends, Brazil-Africa Institute stress significance of scientific research in foreseeing events

ABU DHABI: Trends Research and Advisory recently hosted a meeting that brought together its researchers with a delegation from the Brazil-Africa Institute.

Led by Dr. Joan Bosco Monti, the visiting delegation engaged in discussions aimed at bolstering research collaboration between the two entities. Their agenda encompassed joint publication initiatives, the organisation of roundtable discussions, scientific events, and fostering the exchange of knowledge among young researchers.

Convened at Trends headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the meeting facilitated an exchange of insights into each party’s main research interests, paving the way for potential cooperation across various domains.

The two sides stressed the importance of opening new horizons of research cooperation. Trends officials learned about the Brazilian experience and how to benefit from its research experience.

Emphasising the advantages of international research partnerships, Trends researchers underscored the collective potential of the two institu
tions to advance knowledge exchange and foster robust research practices.

The Chairperson of the Brazil-Africa Institute stressed the importance of research centres in exploring events and foreseeing their consequences.

Opening of malnutrition treatment department in Hajjah


The Undersecretary of Hajjah Governorate opened the building of the Malnutrition Treatment Department ‘TFC’ at the health center in Aflah Al-Sham District.

The project, implemented with community contributions in cooperation with the district’s health center and UNICEF, consists of four rooms with their annexes.

Ceremony at Higher Academy of Holy Quran


The Higher Academy for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences organized a speech ceremony to conclude the academic year 1445 AH at the academy.

At the ceremony, the Director of the Office of the Leader of the Revolution, Safar Al-Sufi praised the efforts of the Dean, the Academy’s staff, its teachers, and its administrators in making the academic year a success for the various specializations.

He stressed the need for everyone to be more aware of reality and events and to study Allah’s guidance to carry out their role and launch into the field.
